In 2014, the United Nations General Assembly established this observance to highlight the importance of equipping young people with the skills needed for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship. The 2026 theme is “Skills for a Shared Future.” In China, this year‘s theme is “Skills Change the World; Skills Light Up the Future.”
